TASTE 2010 EXHIBITION: A Garden of Earthly Delights
TASTE is an annual exhibit about food & food-related ideas that focuses on a different theme each year. Curated by Michelle Mansour & Jessica Wallen

Opening Reception: Saturday, April 10, 7 to 10 pm
Live Performance by Gypsy-Jazz band Panique
And a special appearance by Smitten Ice Cream!

Exhibition Dates: April 7th- 24th, 2010
Gallery Hours: Wednesdays - Saturdays, 2-6 pm (or by appointment)

SICK

Spring is a time for fantasies, fecundity, and a bounty born of the rain & earth. It carries with it a sense of celebration, illumination, & verdancy. Everything that has been waiting in the ground comes out & spills over. As in Bosch’s painting, there is a mystical force at work causing a co-mingling of the animal, vegetable, & human in nature. Eve has eaten of the apple - anything is possible. With the new decade comes the promise of more fruitful times, and this year’s TASTE event is serendipitously scheduled for the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.

In addition to the opening reception on April 10, and in conjunction with this exhibition, Root Division is hosting a ticketed event, TASTE 2010, on Thursday, April 22. This event features over 12 of the most creative local chefs & mixologists preparing food & cocktails onsite in our gallery.
