COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Root Division provides affordable space in exchange for 12 hours of community service a month. Participating artists can teach in our free after school art classes, they can produce our monthly art exhibitions, or they can teach in our Adult Education classes.

HELPING LOCAL SCHOOLS
Root Division takes the talent of the local art world and puts it into the hands of schoolchildren. We work with Fairmount and Buena Vista Elementary Schools in San Francisco. Root Division artists teach students free of charge in weekly after-school programs.

As we expand these programs we will integrate 11 artist-teachers representing Root Division. Content, curriculum design and scheduling will be executed in collaboration with the administration, faculty and parents. These artists will teach a total of 132 hours a month in these schools. In addition Root Division seeks volunteers from the community to work alongside artists in schools.

ADULT EDUCATION
We've got new classes!! Check them out.

Root Division's art education for adults opens opportunities for the community. Our educational programming is timed to fit the schedules of working people. It is also the most competitively priced programming of its type in San Francisco. Enrollment includes discount entry to our events, dynamic openings, parties and exhibition opportunities...this is not your standard offering. This is not your standard organization.
