Elena Patiño

Elena Patino grew up in Lima, Perú. She moved to Washington DC to attend first, the Corcoran School of Art and Design and later the American University where she received her BA degree in Studio Art in 2000. After starting a career as an Art Educator, she entered the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore where she earned a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate first and an MFA in Sculpture and Extended Media in 2008. Since then, she has held a professional Art practice in the DC area, and currently in San Francisco, CA where she resides now. Elena’s work has been included in several group exhibitions in venues such as the Delaware Art Museum, the Katzen Arts Center at American University, and the AMA Museum in Washington, DC. Elena maintains her love for teaching and continues to be involved in Art Education.
