 <em><strong>MACHISMOSA</strong></em><br />\n Curat
ed by Aleo Landeta</p>\n \n <p>In the tradition of
chisme as lore\, Machismosa examines how machismo
is learned\, whispered\, and passed down. This ex
hibition dismantles it through the same radical st
orytelling that built it\, bringing together ten L
atine artists whose multimedia practices unravel m
achismo's rigidity and reimagine it as fluid\, int
imate\, and communal. Rather than treating machism
o as an inescapable mold\, these artists deconstru
ct and reclaim it into something livable. Working
 across textile\, ceramics\, painting\, and sculptu
re\, they center the body\, domesticity\, and ance
stral memory as sites of resistance\, where kitche
n-table whispers become revolution. The opening re
ception will be animated by live performances from
drag royalty Soy Papi Churo and Xochitl\, bringin
g Machismosa's themes off the walls and into the r
