Oil Painting 101 Workshop – In Person

This 4-session class will introduce you to the basic techniques and materials for oil painting. Each session builds on the previous one and all exercises are designed to provide students with hands-on understanding of color, value, composition, and paint application. This class will focus on learning the basics of painting; instructors may reference master studies, painting from photographs, still life, landscape, and portrait paintings in order to master the fundamental techniques of working with oil colors. A materials list will be provided upon registration; supplies must be purchased independently. Please note: this class will take place in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF.
