SU 2017 – Comics & Graphic Novels

Registration is closed for this event

Comics & Graphic Novels

This four-session course encourages investigation of the relationships between images, text, effective storytelling, and the consideration of the comic book as a physical object. Discussions of narrative art forms outside of comics and group critiques will support students in their exploration of comics and graphic novels. By the end of the course, each student will create a finished booklet and have a deeper understanding of how to use their drawings to communicate stories and ideas.
