Jake’s love of art was cultivated at an early age by his parents, both educators. He spent his summers at the beach and visiting museums. This early exposure developed his passion for art and education. Root Division is the coalescence of Jake's passion for youth education and the arts. Jake studied history of art and visual culture, philosophy, and kinesiology at UC Santa Cruz. He has founded several companies in an effort to deliver better healthcare and fitness to patients. He lives in San Francisco, and still spends his free time in museums and exploring the great outdoors.
