Modern Calligraphy
This workshop will introduce students to the practice of modern calligraphy, using both pen and brush with water based media. Students will learn about hand position and how to use pressure to measure ink flow, practicing new lettering techniques with both upper and lower-case alphabets and numbers. Instructor demonstrations and various examples of modern calligraphy will be provided to accompany student practice in this interactive workshop. Most supplies will be available to borrow during class; an additional short materials list will be provided upon registration.
