This six-session course at Root Division (1131 Mission St.) introduces you to watercolor, gouache, and inks—no prior experience needed. Through group demonstrations, and individual guidance, you’ll learn to create representational images (landscape, still life, figures) and abstract studies. The instructor will help you gain a versatile command of these expressive media, teaching techniques that bring both precision and spontaneity to your work. Perfect for SF locals seeking a creative outlet close to home, or anyone visiting, you’ll join a community of artists in SoMa district.
Some basic supplies are included in the course fee, however, an additional materials list will be provided upon registration. We partner with ARCH Art Supplies who creates an affordable class kit; the kit can be purchased here.
