Kate Goka

Bio

Working in sculpture, installation, assemblage, and paper, her practice is informed by her mixed race and queer identities. Kate uses found or discarded objects, hand papermaking, mixed media, woodworking, and sometimes burning to hold contradictions, carry grief, and create a space for agency and possibilities. An emerging artist, Kate’s work has been exhibited in the bay area and is held in private collections.
