This 4-session class will meet on-site at Root Division on Sunday mornings on 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, and 10/4 from 10 AM-12 PM.
Slow down and discover the beauty in ordinary things. In this beginner-friendly oil painting class, you’ll learn foundational techniques while painting meaningful everyday objects from observation. We’ll cover composition, color mixing, value, and brushwork to help you create a finished still life with confidence.

About the instructor: Ariel Rivera is an artist, writer, and painting instructor based in San Francisco. Her work explores the ways the natural world and the inner human journey reflect one another. Transfer Your Seat: If you are unable to attend, you may send a friend in your place! Please contact the host or email classes@rootdivision.org with their name at least 2 hours before class begins.

Refunds: Full refunds are only issued if a cancellation request is received via email at least 72 hours prior to the first session.

Course Cancellations: Root Division reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment. If your class is cancelled, you will be notified via email and issued a full refund within 5-7 business days.
