Venue: 1131 Mission Street
Comics Workshop: Life in Pictures
This course encourages investigation of the relationships between images, text, story, and the comic book as an art object. Students will create three mini comics and study many examples of contemporary autobiographical comics. Group critiques, analysis of narrative structures, and exercises in juxtaposing imagery will give students a deeper understanding of how to use their drawings to communicate stories from their everyday life. A materials list will be provided upon registration.
