Native to the Bay Area, Jen has a background in graphic design and a love for colors, shapes and lines. Jen was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and grew up with a strong urge to pursue a creative life. Her art has evolved over the recent years and taken all kinds of forms. The forms that have her hooked are illustration, hand lettering, collage and abstracts; with watercolor and ink being the primary mediums. The one thing that hasn’t changed is the message that is conveyed, which is one from an optimistic realist perspective.
She approaches her work with a minimalist mindset, allowing for the clean lines, gestural shapes, and pops of color to create playful, yet elegant compositions. She primarily works with watercolor and gouache, but enjoys experimenting and incorporating new and different media often.
