I grew up as a child who was always trying to fit in, despite looking entirely capable of playing the part. And that journey of constantly morphing and reshaping oneself continues, as I migrate to a different country by myself. Beneath the pretty surface, strong currents tumble and roar. I primarily work with water-based materials such as watercolor and acrylic. In recent years, I've been particularly drawn to acrylic pouring—a technique that allows me to embrace randomness. I consider this process a form of 'conscious randomness,' where control meets chaos. Each piece serves as a reminder to embrace imperfection while striving for excellence. There's a quiet, honest beauty in letting go of the pursuit of perfection. My visual language is rooted in cuteness—soft forms, vibrant colors, and whimsical characters. And there's often an unsettling undercurrent. The contrast is intentional: sweetness and sadness, charm and discomfort. This visual tension creates a space for viewers to pause and reflect on what lies beneath the surface—not just within the artwork, but within themselves. I believe the stories we tell visually cannot be sanitized or flattened into simple categories. They are layered, contradictory, and deeply human.
