This 4-session class will meet on-site at Root Division on Sunday mornings on 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, and 10/4 from 10 AM-12 PM.
Slow down and discover the beauty in ordinary things. In this beginner-friendly oil painting class, you'll learn foundational techniques while painting meaningful everyday objects from observation. We'll cover composition, color mixing, value, and brushwork to help you create a finished still life with confidence.

About the instructor: Ariel Rivera is a Latinx painter and writer based in San Francisco. Her work explores the unseen patterns that connect nature and spirit. All Sales are Final: Root Division does not offer refunds or class credits for student absences or cancellations made within 72 hours of the class start time.

Transfer Your Seat: If you are unable to attend, you may send a friend in your place! Please contact the host or email classes@rootdivision.org with their name at least 2 hours before class begins.

Refunds: Full refunds are only issued if a cancellation request is received via email at least 72 hours prior to the first session.

Course Cancellations: Root Division reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment. If your class is cancelled, you will be notified via email and issued a full refund within 5-7 business days.
