Color Theory in Practice

This event has only 15 space(s) left. If you continue and register more than 15 people (including yourself ), the whole group will be wait listed. Or, you can reduce the number of people you are registering to 15 to avoid being put on the waiting list.

Color Theory in Practice is a hands-on introduction to the foundational principles of color mixing, designed for artists ready to build confidence in their palette. Over the course of three sessions, students will explore the differences between traditional (Red-Yellow-Blue) and modern (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow) primary systems, examine the effects of warm vs. cool variations of each hue, and learn how to mix harmonious, intentional colors. Through guided exercises in acrylics—including color wheels, charts, and experimental palettes—participants will gain a deeper understanding of how color relationships work in real time, leaving the class with personalized tools to support their ongoing painting practice.

A materials list will be included upon registration. Please note: This class will occur in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF.
