RegisterThis immersive three-week session class delves into the world of cyanotypes and the power of repetition. In the first session, we will go over the history and chemistry behind cyanotypes, mastering the techniques of coating materials, timing exposures, and understanding the foundational rules of the process. In the second session, we'll push boundaries through experimentation, discovering alternative materials and innovative processes. Focused on repetition as a creative tool, you'll learn how to choose a singular form and create a series of captivating variations. In the final session, you'll refine your techniques, perfect your work, and learn how to bring your cyanotype creations to life through installation. Materials will be provided by Root Division for students registering 48 hours in advance of the class. Please note: This class will occur in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF.
