In this six-session in-person course, you will learn the basics of working with a figure model to create more meaningful drawings. The purpose of this class is not to copy the figure but to tap into your creative practice. Instruction will cover foundational techniques such as gesture drawing, proportions, and value. This is an introductory course to figure drawing, so no prior experience is needed–you simply need the desire to learn how to draw people from life. Students should plan to purchase independently via this link or another retailer. A materials list will be provided upon registration. This class will occur in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF. No Class on Fenbruary 19.
