Instructor: Megan Leppla
Dates: Thursdays, February 10, 17, March 3, 10 (No class February 24)
Time: 6:30-9:30 pm
In this 4-session in-person course, you will learn the basics of working with a figure model to create more meaningful drawings. The purpose of this class is not to copy the figure, but instead to work with the experience of having a live model to tap into your own creative practice. Instruction will cover foundational techniques such as gesture drawing, proportions and value. This is an introductory course to figure drawing, so no prior experience is needed – you simply need the desire to learn how to draw people from life. A materials list will be provided upon registration; supplies must be purchased independently. Please note: this class will take place in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF.
