This 4-session in-person course introduces students to the complexity, simplicity, and creativity of drawing. Sketchbooks are an indispensable part of every artist’s life – sketchbooks are where skills are strengthened, ideas are recorded, and designs are worked through. It should be a place where artists are completely free to experiment and find their visual voices. Using various materials and tools, students will explore sketchbook practicing and experimenting skills to keep them motivated, creative, and inspired throughout their artistic journey. A materials list will be provided upon registration; supplies must be purchased independently. Please note: this class will take place in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF.
*Sections A, B, and C are the same level and general course content. They occur on different dates and may have different instructors.
