Performance Art + Photography
This class is designed for students at all levels and backgrounds that are interested in exploring some of the conceptual new genres of contemporary art making/thinking. We will investigate, discuss and make art in the following genres: Installation, (Video) Performance Art, Sound Art and Site Specific.
This beginning-level studio course encourages experimentation, constant feedback and engagement of complex ideas through problem solving. The class is process-oriented and structured around each genre we will study. The hands-on assignments will provide the environment for each student's personal development as a conceptual artist.
