Raphael Noz

Bio

"My artist identity was born after completing a spiritual quest after my father died, to return two wristwatches to children in Mexico City. Flowing out of this experience has been paintings, photographs, objects and performances.

My work involves a reconstruction of a personal Mexico- both the actual place as I experience it today but also a metaphor for my father, who grew up there in the 1920s. I work an untrained archaeology, digging things up, and probably putting them back together wrong. "
