This three-session in-person class is an introductory course for Fashion Design. This includes the basics of hand sewing, such as a running stitch, an invisible stitch, and how to stitch buttons, as well as to how to create your own fashion drawings. You will also learn the basics of using a sewing machine for practical applications such as repairs, alterations, and upcycling. It is encouraged to bring a personal item (such as a tote bag, a garment, or found fabric) to reconstruct into a new garment. Some basic supplies are included in the course fee, however, an additional materials list will be provided upon registration.
