This class will introduce students to the basic techniques and materials for oil painting, including color theory, paint properties, color mixing, and oil medium. Each session builds on the previous one and all exercises are designed to provide students with hands on understanding of the four elements that produce a strong painting (edges, values, shapes and colors).
