Aik Brown
Aik Brown: Layered Life
The July feature in the project space is a new body of work by 2021-22 Artist-in-Action Fellow, Aik Brown. By performing recent self care practices over the past eight months, Aik Brown has had peaceful and euphoric visions through meditation and reflection, bringing visions of the most beautiful and brightest images of colors, plants, animals, and people.
The artworks in Layered Life are intuitively created using acrylic paint in an abstract graffiti style. The artist joyfully composes colorful botanical scenes, exploring with color and spray paint to create movement, layers, and texture.
Second Saturday Reception
July 9 | 7-9 pm
Exhibition Dates
July 8–25, 2022
