Christopher Reiger is an artist and writer, and a recent transplant to the Bay Area. Originally from the rural Delmarva Peninsula, he attended the College of William and Mary (B.A. Studio Arts, 1999) in Williamsburg, Virginia, before moving to New York City, where he lived for a decade. Since graduating from the MFA program at the School of Visual Arts in 2002, his paintings and drawings have been included in solo and group exhibitions in the United States and abroad. His essays on art, ecology, natural history, philosophy, and theology appear in art and culture journals, as well as on his award-winning blog, Hungry Hyaena.
