S. Dillon Gardner is a professional energy worker specializing in botanical sculpture, installation, ritual performance, video and photography works. With the collaboration of plants and cut flowers, Dillon creates botanical dreamscape scene installations and uses fresh and dry florals as tools to facilitate and create ritual performances and artifacts. Dillons intimate relationship with cut flowers informs and inspires Gardner’s radical approach to life, energy work and floral design.
My work is pure self indulgence, vanity, and self obsession. The intuitive interdisciplinary nature of my work allows me to create worlds, characters and objects that nourish, ignite and fuel my ego desires, dreams and fantasies. With botanical elements as my collaborators my work is used to create, facilitate, document and actualize timelines that reflect on the past, present and future. As a self taught visual artist my cause for creating is primal. Following an initial impulse to create informs me of my direction, personal well being and affirms my existence throughout time. With the use of photography, installation, sculpture, and ritual performance, art for me is a pursuit of individual discovery, divine connection and independent expression.
