Erik Barrios-Recendez is an artist who primarily works in collage, painting, wearable assemblage, and installation. Their work reflects queer theory, Chicanx studies, art history, daily life, and fantasies, expressing intersectional identities and addressing cultural erasure. Barrios-Recendez graduated from UC Berkeley with a BFA in Art Practice in December 2023 and participated in the 5th cohort of the Ellsworth Artist in Residency program at Art Share L.A. in Spring 2024.
