Bio
Johanna Villamil was born in Bogota, Colombia, in 1985. She finished her studies of Fine Arts in 2009, and got her degree of Master in Education of Arts at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in 2019, Bogotá. Since then she lives in France.
Artist Statement
Since 2012 her work has been focused on the creation of collaborative and interdisciplinary projects as devices for meeting and exchanging knowledge. Her most important project in recent years was the creation of "El boletÃn Periférico", a small journal created from and for the Belén neighborhood of Bogotá, as an archive of the stories of its inhabitants.
