Bio
Josh Aaron is a painter who works in oil, acrylic and gouache at a variety of scales. He has shown his work in many group exhibitions in Indianapolis, San Francisco, San Diego and Austin, TX, where he currently lives and works.
Artist Statement
In my paintings, I like to move fluidly between naturalistic representations and elements of abstraction. Themes present in the work include imagination, individualism and humans’ relationship with landscape. I draw inspiration from my travels in Asia and long-distance backpacking in the western U.S.
