Nibha Akireddy is an artist and engineer from Santa Clara and is currently based in San Francisco. Her works, primarily paintings, draw from relationships, mythology, and the everyday arts of dance, film, literature, food, clothing, and community. She works to express the beauty of the mundane.
Focusing mainly on the human form, Nibha uses repeated limbs and heads to create a sense of movement even within a flat image. She aims to create work that makes her audience move with the subject through the piece. She is interested in questioning what we expect from artists who work across different cultures, disciplines, and media.
