Samu Cortez

Bio

Samu Cortez is a queer Mexican artist and educator living and working in the Bay Area. They received a BFA from the University of Delaware in 2011 and a MFA in sculpture from Herron School of Art and Design, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2013. They co-founded Aguas Migrantes, a Bay Area art collective that runs a summer art project in Mexico. They currently teach in the Tech Arts Department at Lick-Wilmerding High School.
