Nathan Suter, MFA
Co-Founder / Emeritus Board Member

Nathan Suter co-founded Root Division in 2002 after earning his MFA from San Francisco Art Institute, where he was the graduate representative to the Board of Trustees. He served as Root Division’s Board President from 2004-2006 and was a studio artist from 2004-2006. Simultaneously he taught art at Eastside College Preparatory School in East Palo Alto for three years. Nathan moved to Vermont in '06 to start a family. He led Helen Day Art Center in Stowe as Executive Director for a decade. He is a Founding Partner of BUILD. an organizational consulting group based in Vermont. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Peace & Justice Center in Burlington, and a proud father of two young creative people, Nathan practices art and patience daily in Montpelier, Vermont.
