Jennifer Stuart is an artist and educator who has been investigating the intersection of different areas of study through her art and work with students for over 30 years. She has been a leader in developing curriculum and professional development opportunities for educators in service of investigating cross-disciplinary questions through art. In her own work she incorporates ideas and imagery from science to create mysterious and complex imagery. Stuart attended Rhode Island School of Design where she received a BFA in painting, and Columbia University Teachers College where she received an MA in arts education. In 2000 she co-founded the non-profit Out of Site (now known as Youth Art Exchange). Her most recent solo show, Microstates, was in 2019 at Ampersand Gallery in San Francisco.
