Shannon Atlas is a communications consultant for Bay Area nonprofits. She began her career in the New York book publishing industry planning author tours for writers such as NPR correspondent Jacki Lyden. Since 1998, Shannon has lived in San Francisco working for a PR agency in the technology field, and later as a communications manager for Responsys.com (Nasdaq: MKTG), an email marketing company. Since 2002, Shannon has focused her PR practice on nonprofit (arts) organizations. Shannon’s current and former clients include: Amy Seiwert’s Imagery, Ballet Sun Valley, Headlands Center for the Arts, ODC Dance, Sacramento Ballet, New Ballet (San Jose), and Earle Baum Center of the Blind (San Rosa). Shannon earned her B.A. in English and American Studies from Tufts University.
