Introduction to Code Based Art
This class will explore the work of artists who use digital processes as part of a larger fine art practice, including interactive installations, algorithmic drawing, data visualizations and expanded audio/video works. We will begin each class looking at artworks, and then move to a workshop format where students will create their own work in response to a prompt. The projects will allow students to learn and practice basic coding and electronics skills while creating their own work. No coding experience is required. Advanced students may work in more complex ways during the project time.
