Introduction to Digital Illustration

This course will use the computer as a medium for illustration. Students will learn the very basics of Adobe Illustrator, from exploring tools to making their own unique images. Goals of this course include gaining a basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, developing computer tools to better execute stylized illustrations, and a general understanding of the history or illustration and its uses in contemporary settings. An outcome of this course will include a series of spot illustrations specific to individual student’s subjects and styles, reflecting skills in concept, creativity, and branding.
