ROOT DIVISION PRESENTS: New Growth 2025: Rooted Together
Root Division is thrilled to present New Growth: Rooted Together, our annual Arts Education Celebration. New Growth showcases student artwork created throughout Root Division’s free after-school Youth Education Program. We partner with a collective of youth-centered organizations to present dynamic live performances alongside hands-on all-ages art-making activities. This year's theme, Rooted Together honors how our Youth Education Education Program is rooted within the organizations, communities and families we serve. We invite you to celebrate our collective accomplishments at this year’s New Growth!

FRANK-RATCHYE PROJECT SPACE
Halfway to Something
Curated by Vanessa Perez Winder
The Frank-Ratchye Project Space is pleased to present Halfway to Something, an exhibition by studio artist and Bay Area Black Artist Studio Fellow Natalia Roberts.
Halfway to Something marks the early stages of a portrait series of professional dancers photographed within large urban architectural spaces. Roberts began this collaborative endeavor during the course of her year-long fellowship not with an overdetermined plan, but with a recognition of her own need to move—out of personal overwhelm and political grief, and into something tactile, relational, and embodied. Rather than staging and manipulating specific poses, Roberts favors an open-ended and playful—albeit intentional—process to capturing movement; shaped by improvisation, discovery, and a shared respect for one another’s expressive instincts.
