Oil Painting 101 A

This class will introduce you to the basic techniques and materials for oil painting. Each session builds on the previous one and all exercises are designed to provide students with hands on understanding of color, value, composition, and paint application. This class will focus on learning the basics of painting; instructors may reference master studies, painting from photographs, still life, landscape, and portrait paintings in order to master the fundamental techniques of working with oil colors. Some basic supplies are included in the course fee, however an additional materials list may be provided upon registration.

Dates: 6 class meetings / Mondays, January 27, February 3, 10, 24, March 2, 9 (No class February 17)

Time: 6:30-9:30 pm

Tuition: $290

 

*Sections A, B, and C are the same level and general course content. They occur on different dates and may have different instructors.

Class enrollment varies from class to class, but in some cases is limited to 8 students. We encourage you to register as soon as possible, as you are considered formally enrolled once your payment is processed.

We strongly encourage students to REGISTER AT LEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE of the 1st class to ensure placement.
