An Artful Approach to Packaging and Shipping- In Person

Instructor: Dominique Birdsong

Sessions: 1

Dates: Thursday, April 11

Time: 6:00-8:00 pm

Tuition: $20

This workshop will focus on two key packaging techniques: slipcasting, primarily used for framed acrylic artworks, and shadow boxing, employed for oil paintings and sometimes sculptural pieces. Participants will learn the nuances of each method and when to apply them. They will actively engage in the art of the packing process, learn how to familiarize themselves with industry-specific terms, be able to communicate with professionals in the field and make informed decisions about the packaging methods that are suitable for their specific artworks. At the end of the workshop, participants are encouraged to ask questions and discuss specific packaging challenges.  Please note: this class will take place in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF.
