Join us this November for Weave, Bundle, Cut, and Layer: Artists with Material Instincts, curated by Lisa McCutcheon. This dynamic group exhibition features 21 artists who share the ability to transform non-traditional materials into a personal visual language — a language that illuminates the beauty and reflection to be found in the mundane. Fabric, rubber, screening, wood, shards of paper, and discarded plastic are just a few of the materials these artists gather, manipulate, and resurrect.
We can't wait to see you at our November 2nd Saturday event!
As we transition back into in-person events, our 2nd Saturday reception will be open for a limited number of guests*, so we request that you RSVP in advance. We're excited to see you in person!
* In response to updates to San Francisco’s “Safer Return Together” City Health Order, we will require all guests (over age 12) to bring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for entry into this event.
We ask this as a show of community care and a move towards continued safety at our in-person events. You may bring a physical copy of your vaccination card or via digital download through the State of California Digital Vaccine Record Portal here.
For the safety of our extended community, we also ask that you continue to wear a mask when in the Root Division space and please only bring along guests that have also RSVP’d for the event.
