About Your Instructor:
Ana is a mixed-media artist based in Oakland, CA. Her creative work is deeply influenced by her dreams and the rhythms of the natural world. As a child, visiting her grandmother’s house sparked a lasting fascination with insects. In her work, Ana seeks to merge the ethereal world of dreams with the richness of nature, drawing inspiration from the concept of biophilia—a deep, instinctual connection to the natural world. Her use of vibrant color palettes and textured layers captures the wonder and curiosity she feels when viewing the world through a childlike lens, emphasizing both the beauty and the mystery of nature.
