RegisterThis hands-on course is ideal for beginners or anyone interested in exploring painting through a creative and accessible process. We begin by working with collage as a tool for generating imagery, building a composition from found materials, textures, and shapes. Through this method, students will learn to think visually and conceptually—translating cut-and-paste ideas into cohesive compositions. These collages will serve as the springboard for the final painting. Once foundational imagery is developed, we will transition into acrylic painting. By the end of the course, each student will complete a finished painting inspired by their collage. A materials list will be included upon registration. Please note: This class will occur in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF. Note: No class November 24
