Comics & Graphic Novels
Did you grow up with a love for Calvin and Hobbes? Superman? The Watchmen? Fun Home? In the age of the emoji, we can see what comic artists have known for decades: pictures and text can exist richly alongside each other. In this course, you will work on both your drawing and writing skills, as you create your own comics and short graphic stories. This class will also address the principles of storytelling, text versus image, and the production and distribution of printed and online comics and graphic novels. All materials will be provided.
