RegisterSay goodbye to the basics and dive into exciting new techniques. Think intricate stitching methods, creative cover construction, and experimenting with a variety of materials. You’ll learn how to create more detailed, durable, and unique hardcover books that truly stand out. Whether you want to elevate your bookbinding game or just love getting hands-on with new techniques, this class is for you.
After building the structure, you’ll create a unique collection of 2 personalized handmade books, each infused with your own creative touch. To make your books even more special, bring along inspiring photos, handwritten letters, or elements from your own artwork. These personal touches will transform your books into meaningful keepsakes, filled with stories, memories, and creativity! A material list will be provided upon registration, supplies must be purchased independently. This class will occur in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF. No class on July 3.
*Fundamentals of Artful Bookbinding is a prerequisite for this class, or equivalent prior bookbinding experience.
