This six-session course at Root Division (1131 Mission St.) is designed for people who want to learn the basics when it comes to Oil Painting– so no prior experience is required. Each session builds upon the last, giving you hands-on practice with color mixing, composition, and paint application. You’ll work from photographs, as well as still life setups, developing a solid foundation in technique and materials. The instructor will guide you through each exercise, ensuring you gain both confidence and skill. A material list will be emailed to you upon registration. We partner with ARCH Art Supplies who creates an affordable class kit; the kit can be purchased here.
