This two-session in-person workshop is an introductory course to dance photography, so no prior experience is required. Students will dive into the art of Photography through the challenge of capturing dance and movement. Students will get the opportunity to explore the basics of studio photography, composition, lighting, and directing in a fun and experimental space where they can explore photographing the human body with a full range of artistic approaches. Bring whichever camera you have available, whether is a professional DSLR, film camera or your phone camera. All other materials will be provided by Root Division. Please note: This class will occur in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF.
