RegisterThis three-session in-person course investigates fibers and their ability to transform space! Learn how to create your own sewing patterns from your original design, the basics of hand sewing, and how to easily bring your 3D ideas into reality using fabric, polyfill, and thread. No need for any prior experience in sewing or textiles, just a desire to learn this fun and relaxing art form popularized in the 1960s by Claes Oldenburg and Yayoi Kusama. Some basic supplies are included in the course fee, however, an additional materials list will be provided upon registration. Please note: This class will occur in person at Root Division, located at 1131 Mission Street in SF.
