WTSP 2013 – Sewing 101

Got that new sewing machine but don't know how to use it?  After this class, students will have the basic fundamentals needed to create their own one of a kind pieces. We will create tote bags & repurpose old garments to create new pieces while learning how to sew zippers, buttons, appliqués, & more. Root Division has a limited number of sewing machines available, so students are strongly encouraged to bring their own. Basic supplies are included in the course fee, however there will be an additional material list provided upon registration.

COVID UPDATE

In response to the current COVID-19 situation, we require that all persons continue to wear masks at all times when in the Root Division space. For the safety of our students, artists, and extended community, we also require all students to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination (or same-day negative test results) for entry to classes held indoors at Root Division.

You may bring a physical copy of your vaccination card or via digital download through the State of California Digital Vaccine Record Portal here. (You may also provide a negative test result taken before each class session. Please contact us with any questions about the types of test results accepted.)

We ask this as a show of community care and a move towards continued safety while gathering in-person.
