Kinetic Sculpture Workshop

In this workshop, students will design and build small moving sculptures using custom electronics, programmable motors, wires, balsa wood, feathers, paper cutouts and LED lights. During the first class session, we will overview techniques and design the sculptures. We will build the sculptures during the remaining class sessions. Students will have the option to work independently or in small groups. All materials will be provided.

In response to the current COVID-19 situation, we require that all persons continue to wear masks at all times when in the Root Division space. For the safety of our students, artists, and extended community, we also require all students to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination (or same-day negative test results) for entry to classes held indoors at Root Division.
